In September 2025, on Heritage Day, the Fudumala School Jersey Drive made history with its first handover outside of Gauteng. The team traveled to Umtata in the Eastern Cape to deliver jerseys to learners, marking the beginning of a nationwide expansion vision. While the campaign continues to focus on Tembisa as its home base, this milestone showed that the warmth can reach further.
A Historic First
Since its founding, the Fudumala School Jersey Drive had always operated within Tembisa, Ekurhuleni. The trip to Umtata represented a bold step, proof that the model could work beyond the campaign's home base and reach communities in other parts of the country.
Heritage Day was a fitting occasion for this milestone. The day celebrates South Africa's diverse cultural heritage, and the Fudumala team chose it to signal that the warmth of Ubuntu belongs to every community in the nation.
The Eastern Cape Visit
The Eastern Cape is one of the provinces with the highest need for school uniform support. Many rural schools in the region lack the resources to ensure learners are properly clothed, particularly during the cold winter months.
