Why It Matters
Why School Jerseys Matter
Winter in Tembisa is cold. For many learners, a school jersey is not a uniform item they can take for granted. It is the difference between focusing in class and shivering through a lesson.
The Fudumala School Jersey Drive exists to close that gap. Through community giving and the Ubuntu Challenge, we sponsor a school jersey for R350, and every jersey goes directly to a learner through the 15 schools in Tembisa that we work with.
Between 2023 and 2025, we reached 922 learners. In 2024, a single partnership with Sandvik put 570 jerseys across 12 schools. One jersey. One child. One winter made warmer.
