More Than a Jersey: Fudumala Packs Delivered at Nyiko Primary School
Wednesday, 23 April 2026 · Nyiko Primary School, Tembisa
On Wednesday, 23 April 2026, the Fudumala Ubuntu Challenge 2026 reached Nyiko Primary School in Tembisa with something bigger than a jersey. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the SAIBPP Women's Forum in partnership with Threads for Ikasi Foundation, learners received complete Fudumala Packs: a school jersey, a pair of shoes, and socks — everything a child needs to walk through the school gate with dignity.
A Pack Built for Winter
The Fudumala Ubuntu Challenge asks the community one simple question: can you sponsor a school jersey so a child stays warm this winter? At Nyiko Primary School, the answer went further. The SAIBPP Women's Forum chose to sponsor full packs because warmth is not only about a jersey. It is about arriving at school whole, ready to learn, and seen.
With winter arriving, the timing of this handover carries extra weight. A jersey protects against the cold. Shoes protect against the ground. Together, they protect a child's ability to focus on what matters most: their education.
Every pack prepared and ready before the handover, a jersey, shoes, and socks inside each one.
Ubuntu in Action: SAIBPP Women's Forum Steps Up
This handover was made possible through the generous sponsorship of the SAIBPP Women's Forum, whose commitment to community development made it possible to go beyond the jersey. Each pack was personally labelled for its recipient and branded with the Fudumala Ubuntu Challenge 2026 and Threads for Ikasi Foundation logos, a mark of care that every learner could see and feel.
This is what Ubuntu looks like when it moves from a value into an action. A professional community, seeing a need, and filling it.

What the Fudumala Ubuntu Challenge Is Asking of You
The Fudumala Ubuntu Challenge 2026 is a community-driven campaign with one clear mission: get a school jersey onto every learner who needs one in Tembisa's 15 schools. But as this handover at Nyiko Primary School shows, sponsors are free to go further. A Fudumala Pack, a class sponsorship, a corporate partnership, these are all ways to answer the challenge.
The campaign is ongoing. More schools. More learners. More children in Tembisa waiting for a community that shows up.
