Winter in Tembisa arrives without warning. For many learners across the township's schools, a school jersey is the only layer standing between them and the cold. Without it, attendance drops, concentration fades, and learning suffers. A single jersey, costing just R350, changes that completely.

The Fudumala School Jersey Drive was built on a straightforward idea rooted in the Ubuntu Challenge: one person sponsors, tags three people, and each of those people does the same. A single act of warmth multiplies across a community. Since 2023, this model has delivered hundreds of jerseys to learners across Tembisa, and in 2025 the campaign reached the Eastern Cape for the first time.

In 2026 the goal is 1,000 jerseys, spread across 15 schools in Tembisa. Every jersey is manufactured locally by ZS Uniforms and delivered directly to learners through their schools. Nothing gets lost between the sponsor and the child. You can see exactly where your contribution goes.

The impact is real and documented. In the 2025 season, 262 learners were reached. School staff reported improved attendance on cold mornings. Parents shared photos of children wearing their jerseys on the first day they arrived. Sponsors who chose the School Champion tier attended handover events at schools and saw the reaction firsthand.
