Fudumala Expands Nationwide with First Umtata Handover

On 25 September 2025, the day after Heritage Day, Fudumala reached a milestone by delivering 109 Fudumala packs to learners at Esethu Primary School and Mandela Park FSS in Umtata, Eastern Cape.

This marks Fudumala's first nationwide handover beyond Tembisa and reflects our commitment to extend Ubuntu in Action across South Africa.

The Umtata community was recently affected by floods which left many families struggling. Each Fudumala pack includes some school uniform items and other essentials to help learners return to school with dignity, confidence, and hope.

This meaningful handover followed South Africa's Heritage Day, extending the celebration of our nation's culture, unity, and Ubuntu spirit. The timing gave families an additional reason to celebrate, as learners stepped forward with renewed confidence.

This initiative was made possible through our partnership with Standard Bank SA Transaction Banking, whose dedication to community upliftment has brought real and immediate impact to these schools.
